About ASODA
With a core concept of “creating with small discoveries from nature,” Mitosaya Botanical Distillery creates distilled spirits from a variety of fruits and botanicals. Together with FIL, Mitosaya has now created the ASODA lineup of sodas.
Drawing on the mineral-rich spring water of the Aso Caldera as well as natural ingredients including seasonal fruits and herbs, these raw ingredients are combined at Mitosaya into a low-sugar, non-alcoholic drinks with refreshing botanical aromas and flavors. They can be enjoyed as-is or used as a mixer for mocktails and cocktails.
ASODA LINEUP
This new series of ASODA, a non-alcoholic drink made by FIL and mitosaya, is made with spring water from Aso and natural ingredients.
We had four guest bartenders, Hiyoyasu Kayama (Bar Benfiddich), Yoshimitsu Obara (CITADEL), Genta Narita (Bar werk), Mari Kamada (The Peninsula Tokyo), and each used their specialized knowledge to create four non-alchohol cocktail (mocktails) recipes.
Created by star bartenders with seasonal fruit and vegetables. These special mocktails are great with a meal, and are low in sugar.
Recipe: Hiroyasu Kayama(Bar Benfiddich)
Fruit cordial drawn out using osmosis and blended with a fresh herbal tea. This novel tonic offers the bitterness and fragrance of fermented mugwort (yomogi).
Recipe: Yoshimitsu Obara (Citadel)
Citadel’s signature mocktail, made with an original blend of cold brew coffee and spiced lemon syrup.
Recipe: Genta Narita (Bar Werk)
A miraculous blend of hojicha tea and Chinese parsley. This low sugar, spicy mocktail can serve as an aperitif or a mixer.
Recipe: Mari Kamata (The Peninsula Tokyo)
The carbonated spring water enhances the fruitiness of the berries and lemons and the gentle sweetness of the sugar cane sugar in this eye pleasing mocktail fizz.
A pure, highly carbonated beverage made from adding carbonic acid to the naturally mineral-rich spring water of the Aso Caldera.
